- Is it a time capsule for a newborn?
- In a way, yes — except that it is never buried, and it cannot be opened early. The message, in text, audio or video, is sealed with your password and revealed only on the date and at the time set when sealing — their eighteenth birthday, for instance. And the Guardian carrying its code stays by their side as they grow up.
- When will the message open?
- On the exact date and time you set when sealing — the morning of their eighteenth birthday, for instance. Until then, it stays invisible to everyone.
- Who keeps the password all those years?
- You choose it when sealing, and you decide who to entrust it to: in an envelope with the family papers, with a godparent. On the day, the recipient enters that password and their Guardian's code in the free Sylorkey app.
- What if the Guardian is lost before they turn eighteen?
- The message stays sealed, and nothing is erased. The Guardian's owner declares it lost in the app: the message is then blocked. If the Guardian turns up, the owner unblocks it. Otherwise, the owner transfers the message to a new Guardian, never sealed before, with the password chosen at sealing.
